It was really hard to pick a third, but Wall*e and Ratatouille are simply amazing movies (among the best animated movies ever made). Wall*e is a revolution in animated storytelling, offering a universal message with a delivery that would rival the artistic audacity of Stanley Kubric. Two sequences in particular stood out for their breath-taking animation; Wall*e wanders a lonely planet filled with garbage in a photo-realistic opening sequence that may never be rivaled, and a pair of robotic lovers dance in space in a sequence that defies all description of beauty and imagination. This unique film is among the greatest films of all time, defying the genre boundaries that limit most animated movies.
Ratatouille is simply hilarious, and has some of the best voice-casting I've ever heard. My third choice was tough. I love them all, but Finding Nemo was riotously funny.
I can't wait until UP.
